New Montis

Hello from Oxford, UK. Just got new Montis used with a Devialet Premier amp and a Weiss MAN301 server.
Just an initial concern, one of the speakers makes ticking noises for about 2 minutes from cold , is this normal in a new panel ?
Otherwise the sound is good, in fact stunningly good on some material !

Welcome Togil, in so far as the ticking noise , not normal, arching perhaps ? try a good vacuuming, can't hurt.

Heavy vacuuming of both speakers is in order. Turn them off for a few hours then vacuum hard.

A wipe with an anti static cloth (like used in a clothes dryer ) can not hurt .

Then turn them on.

After the two minutes of clicks are the speakers fine?
Are the clicks from one panel , or the woofers?
Do you know the history of the speakers?

After this is resolved, pay careful attention to placement.

The speakers are completely new.
Only one panel, ticking noises seem to emanate from the top part of the panel. After 2 minutes fine. Only reappears the next morning.
Will try vacuum hard ( my Miele's 2200 Watt motor should be good for this )

Your supplier or ML direct product support should give you advice on this if it continues.

I have had ticks and other sounds in my panels over the years, vacuuming solved these issues. I now vacuum one a month.
