ML Purity Newbie

Hi all!

Have recently bought my first electrostatic speakers (Purity) and ....oh my!
A new world of sound for my ears has begun! :music:

So ... my next step will be to find a good pre-amp.
At the moment im using my Denon - AVR 1803 Receiver and it sounds like a carpet is hanging in front of the speakers.
So i would be greatful for some tips/advice on a new pre-amp that sounds great on Purity.

The pre-amp is going to be used as a 2 channel.
I have been looking at Audio Research sp9, Valvet L1, Xindac XA-3250
Got a good price on sp9, and a hifi friend told me that a ARsp9 is the best of these 3. Have never listened to any of these...
would be grateful for some opinion's on these 3 preamps or maybe even better once for ML's
