I have a chance to get a McIntosh Mc275 amp 60's vintage and i was wondering if this will be enough power to drive my Summits to decent levels?

thanks

It's a great amp but ML Summits benefit from lots of power even though the woofers are self powered. 200 - 400 watts will typically give good bass control. Also, amps with output transformers will roll off the high frequencies and make the Summits sound dull since the very low impedence can't be matched. Look for a quality direct-coupled amp.

Do a search. This has been discussed on this forum many times in the past, and most recently just a few weeks ago.

The consensus seems to be no.
