you know what Robin, when I look at this set-up I think....man those E-2's look awafull "Constrained' in that room. I have never listened to the statement speaker but I can only imagine the tremendous soundstage that they are capable of and thus it would seem only natural to have them further apart !!

Yes, I totally agree... The above photo was of a Statement e2 / ARC / Clearaudio System taken at a past electronics show... Unfortunately, I think they squeezed this system in just to show off the gear more than worrying about the sound, which naturally they should have...

Listening to a big speaker in the near-field is an eye opening experience, especially a really coherent one like the big Maggies or Apogees, one is immersed in the sound field, not just the sound stage, truly impressive.
