Just caught John Scofield's set at the Montreux Jazz Festival with the Piety Street Band. If you enjoy this new record with a more traditional bluesy/gospel feel, he's on his way back to the US to continue the tour.

I highly recommend this album if for nothing else,for the recording. Very natural and intimate. The drums and bass are some of the best recorded I have heard. Great gospel songs to boot.
