Neil Young, of NY and Crazy Horse and CSN&Y, never liked CD's. I read somewhere that he doesn't like cd's, as they compare to vinyl. The reason, I assume, was digital compared to analog. He felt they never sounded good like analog. Anyone know more about this. I guess I've always wondered if there was more to him on that front.

Believe it or not, even Dylan has criticized the sound of digital versus analog in some of his recent ramblings. Yes, Neil Young is into analog and also electric trains!

I always thought he was fanatic about the sound quality of his recordings. You're right, he didn't care for CD. Note that many of his albums were reissued on DVD-A. The sound quality of his greatest hits vinyl is very, very good also. He must be an audiophile, as who else would show a record (the exact album and track!) playing for the video tracks of his greatest hits DVD?
