I know some of us do this on a regular basis, but some others here may be new to the routine.
When daylight savings time changes, I always make sure to change out the batteries in my Smoke Alarms throughout the home.
What does this have to do with Audio???
Well at the same time, I also go through the routine of getting out my Caig Cleaning "stuff" and clean and treat all the connections in the setup. Very time consuming and a pain, but well worth the efforts. Not only does it give you a better sounding setup, it also gives you the opportunity to fix up some knarly cable mess you may have.
Pickup Deoxit Cleaner, Deoxit Gold for gold connectors, and Deoxit for non-gold connectors. Here is a link to their site. It can also be purchased from many online vendors.
