How is the efficiency of todays Martin Logan speakers? I realize the specs listed on most of the models show 90 db/2.83 volts/ meter such as Theos, CLX art .

How accurate is that in average room?

The Acoustats ( Spectra 22 ) most be really in-efficent... as they need 30 watts to play at same volume that average bookshelf speaker needs 3 watts. To get 90 to 93 db volumes my meters show 300 watts +, sometimes 600 watts. guessing the Acoustats are 83 db or 86 dB @ 1 meter

Hopefully the Martin Logans do not suck up power as quickly.

You can trust in mL specs. As an example, you can use 20W/ch tube amp with the Vantages with great results! The Acoustats are hungry power. Happy listening,
Roberto.
