Just for the heck of it, still trying to get rid of some room nodes, i put a third sub online. Its the cheapo one I have on the idiot box, with its own built in amp. At first it was an enormous cock-up but with a little perseverance (obsession) all worked out better than it started.
All signals to the subs still come from the outboard xover, so I ended up with moving the two matched subs out of the corners and inboard of the CLS's, but still against the front wall. The supplementary sub is against the rear wall, dead center. The front subs are reverse phased, the rear normal, and fiddling with the delay and Xover point on the rear sub got the sweet spot for bass at my listening position with reduced room nodes. good stuff!
