Can I stick some aluminum motif woofers in my matinee center ch

I am going to replace the 2 beaten up woofers in my Matinee center channel @$110 a pop. The changing of these is a really easy task. I then got to thinking if instead of the Matinee paper cones I could just throw 2 aluminum Motif ones in instead? They are both the same size so what problems would I run into if I did ? Anyone?

You probably can but it won't be ideal. The crossover in the Matinee was designed around the paper cone drivers and not the aluminum cone drivers of the Motif. I'd ask ML what they think.

Agree with |Tch0rT| that the match might not work, at least not without some tweaking of the crossover, which is a bit of work. So using the specified replacement will probably give you good results with minimal effort.
