Blue Note Series on SACD

Anyone subscribe to this series?
If so thoughts on the quality of the first few titles out already?
At $30 a piece, we're talking a $750 commitment
There are quite a few titles in this 25 disc series I want.

I know the remastering for these was to be done by Steve Hoffman so I figured they should be pretty good. I'll set up my subscription with Acoustic Sounds tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm with Dave. If the SACD's are anywhere close to the quality of the vinyl you'll be a happy guy Wayne. The LP's are among the best.

When I signed up for the series last week, I was told the first few titles should be out by the end of the month.

I talked to Kevin Gray the other day and he worked with Steve on the discs.

Kevin said they are not pressed yet, but should be out shortly...

Between him and the guys at MoFi, they think SACD is coming back strong as an audiophile format and that it has a chance of equaling vinyl in a year or two if a few more people get on board.

Could be interesting!!
