    Mikros 90 Headphones Fit Problems

Tell me if I need to edit my original post. The PROBLEM I'm referencing, as well as the proposed SOLUTION, is an ERGONOMIC one, unrelated to Apple/Android distinctions and not even to electronics except with respect to the L/R reversal which ensues if I position the headphones so that they...

    Mikros 90 Headphones Fit Problems

I got two pair of these for a very good price ($60), and really like the sound and the fact that at least the PAUSE/RESUME control button works with my Android device. What is really strange about these headphones is that they literally tend to roll off my ears so that I'm constantly forced to...

WHERE are the Discounted Motion Center Channel Speakers?

Well, for the curious...and for the entertainment of the purists: I couldn't resist the Motion 10 @ $125. I removed the legs and placed it on its side behind the TV. It can't be seen as anything other than a large "something" behind the TV. Doesn't detract from the room's decor. I sold my other...

Motion 10 Componebts to a Custom Center Channel Cabinet

To say I'm new to modifying speakers would be generous. But, $119 will buy a new Motion 10 (get them while it lasts!), which contains the components for a nice center channel speaker which could match the rest of my ML setup. I've been convinced to try to build my own. However, I've no idea...

WHERE are the Discounted Motion Center Channel Speakers?

There's already a tweeter between the two 5.25" mids, so there appears to be room. And yes, it would probably require some (potentially irreversible) modification of the Polk cabinet. I don't know how deep the folded motion tweeter is, nor the one in the Polk. But, for $70, it's worth the risk...

WHERE are the Discounted Motion Center Channel Speakers?

Of course. As I stated, it would be an interim solution, and one better than my present interim, I assure you!

WHERE are the Discounted Motion Center Channel Speakers?

I went to far as to look at some sites on speaker design, but I don't think I've presently either the time or tools to take this on. Too bad, though, as the only additional cost beyond the $125 for the Motion 10 would be the cabinet. Of course, if both mids were used, it would be a large center...

WHERE are the Discounted Motion Center Channel Speakers?

Well, yes, I suppose discontinued speakers should be discounted. Hadn't thought of the obvious. As far as the configuration, it should certainly sound good (though that would drop the impedance to 2 ohms if in parallel or increase to 8 if in series, with the latter being the safest, I suppose)...

WHERE are the Discounted Motion Center Channel Speakers?

A Motion 12 as a center speaker? Agreed. Technically, it's an attractive approach. Practically, it would grossly encroach upon the view of the TV were I to put it in front, or the TV would block the sound were I to put it behind the TV. Anywhere else and it's no longer a center speaker! These...

WHERE are the Discounted Motion Center Channel Speakers?

I wish you were wrong but your assertion seems to be born out by my experience. So far. Maybe things will change, but I'm going to have to spring for a decent center speaker soon.

WHERE are the Discounted Motion Center Channel Speakers?

I bought the Motion 10 for $150/ea, the Motion 12 for $250/ea, but all of the authorized online dealers seem to be asking full fare for the Motion series Center Channel speakers. Are these EVER as deeply discounted as the 10s and 12s? I've been waiting and waiting...but it's not looking good.

Center Speaker Choice for Motion 10: Mix and/or Match?

It's always a tension between getting what one wants and what one should allow one's self in terms of price. I was initially swayed by the $250 price of the Encore vs the $299 of the Motion 6 and $399 of the Motion 8. The $499 Motion C is what I'd like, and a reviewer at "the biggest online...

Center Speaker Choice for Motion 10: Mix and/or Match?

I like this idea! Especially w the Motion 10 intermittently available for $149...regrettably, my current setting (stand mounted TV) wouldn't allow for a 10 to go below the TV. Even if it were wall-mounted, this would require raising the 60" TV to well-above what would be optimal viewing height...

Center Speaker Choice for Motion 10: Mix and/or Match?

I'm new to both ML and to Home Theatre. I've just hooked up the parts of my system that have arrived, along with one "piece of junk" from years ago. This is the first time in years I've been in a location and position to begin assembling a sound system again. Here's what I have: Yamaha RX-V567...

    Multi-voltage Subwoofer Options?

Can anyone tell me which -- if any -- ML subwoofers are multi-voltage (i.e., 100-240vac 50/60Hz)? I am based in the US but live overseas, and prefer to purchase electronic equipment which accommodates all standard input voltages and frequencies.
