Thx for the replies guys...I should have researched abit more before I bought this...this Depth sub doesnt have XLR balanced inputs so this isnt an option. I also dont want to use splitter from my preamp to amp. Does Depth i or new descent come with XLR????

Ok, I have never used a subwoofer in a 2 channel system before. I have the Pass Amp and X1 pre-amp. I just got a Depth(non-i version) sub. When I look at back of X1 pre, there is only one set of outputs which goes into my amp...I have 4 inputs but the only other output is the RCA/balanced tape...

I have personal experience with the Yaqin 20ML...I wanted to use that 50wpc int tube amp until I found what I wanted...couldnt even come close to properly driving my CLS I's...very muffled, no detail....midrange smoothness was ok...my stint with Yaqin lasted 1 week....gotta go with high...

The CLS's, after 30 yrs, are still an amazement...when i go to audio stores to listen to their reference speakers I often say, "they sound ok"...:)...only other ML's I might consider to replace them are the CLX's. Congrats Roberto...I cant wait to hear some CLX's in person!

darn these Depths selling like hotcakes on audiogon...been looking everyday for past 2 wks as all 3-4 of them previous on audiogon sold quickly...the one day I didnt check(today), one came up and sold same day...why does everyone want a Depth so badly?...hmmm.

To be honest, the items that made a slight improvement in sound quality was adding the VLINK and new USB Wireworld Starlight cable...when I say slight I mean it did have improvements but you really had to listen for it...what made modest improvement was going from Macbook Laptop to Mac Mini...

tried again...i get jibberish looking letters only...but since I did last update with Apple 10.6.6 I cant open adobe pdf files either...cant seem to unzip that file as a movie. EDIT: ok, opened it up with Windows based computer and it works fine...thx.

Sounds easy from the directions ML emailed me but has anyone done it?...I want to essentially remove the wodden frames and get it stripped down and re-stained a different color....worth the hassle???...thx.
