I was going to upgrade my 20 year old cls lla to ClX. Not now! One would have to be either very wealthy or insane. Martin Logan used to be a very classy company but not any more. They have joined the ranks of the commoditizers.

I have clslla's foralmost twenty years and have noticed that if the units are kept plugged in it takes much less time to reach maximum performance level. It is a capacitor.
I see for the commercially available Linkwitz Thor subwoofer, it is in a down-firing configuration. Also on the plans for the Rhythmik enclosure, it too is a down-firing configuration. Do the t/s parameters change in a down-firing configuration from front-firing?

Congrats on your sons acceptance to the Wayne State jazz program. It is good to hear there are still young people interested in performing jazz. Most young people now are musically illiterate. He's obviously an exception. Have him listen to Tal Farlow if he hasn't already.

Has anybody changed the high voltage caps in the cls crossover. They are 5N 10kv mylars. I have access to .022mf 16kv polyproylene caps. Should this be done?
