Perhaps members can assist with this little problem:
My LS3’s are connected to a naim 115w main amp, driven by a hafler pre-amp. Inputs are from a sony bluray player (used for standard cd’s and music dvd’s) and from a tv satellite decoder.
I find that the sound from the decoder, especially the hd channels, sound better and “wider” than cd’s and music dvd’s from the sony, which sound a bit narrow. From the decoder you get the impression at times that the sound stage contains two front and two side speakers. The listening position and speaker spacing is equidistant (about 4m)
Any thoughts?
