Need DVD Recorder Advice Please..

Hello Loganheads!

I recently had two peices of equipment crap out on me, and I would like to replace them with a single unit. So far I have not found a way to do this..

My two year old Denon 2910 is dead (My eight year old 2900 is stil spinning like a champ.) And my one year old JVC CU-VD40US has left me stranded as well. The JVC burner theoretically burned DVDs in HD.

So what I am looking for is now a Blu-Ray RECORDER with a DivX out. I have been assured that such an animal is not available YET. So the question I have for the team is:

Who is developing one, and when will it be available?

Blu-ray recorders are selling like hot cakes in Japan, but for some reason they're not available over here yet. I believe Sony and Panasonic are the main Blu-ray recorder suppliers.

answer to my own question- for others in the same boat..

looks like Panasonic will have a Blu-Ray recorder in the US in late 2009.

Sony will have a direct line burner (from Camera) "soon."
