I have just built my custom amp platform consisting of solid White Maple. It weighs approx. 50lbs . The deck alone is almost 4" thick. The amp is a Pass Labs X350.5 just for size.

That is really sweet. Can you give a little detail on how you did it? It is difficult to find really thick maple that is 20 inches wide. Also how is the sound. You are obviously addicted - I see the brass weight on the top of your amp. Where did you get the hardware (spikes etc...)

The platform is made of a total of 6 planks of maple. I glue a set of 3 planks togather to make 2 platforms and then I glue those 2 platforms to get the thickness I'm looking for. I also add the 4 coner blocks for securing the spikes to and also to elevate the platform a bit.

The brass weight I purchase from edenSound at http://www.vermontaudio.com/ . I picked up the spikes from Adona at http://www.adonacorporation.com .

Each stand you make is better than the previous, great job.
