Hi,

I have a Grotto i and I cant figure out how to turn it on.
I eventually read the manual. And here is what I found:

Code:
"The IEC cord should be firmly inserted into the AC power
receptacle on the rear connection panel of the subwoofer,
then to any convenient AC wall outlet. Directly adjacent
to the AC power receptacle on the rear connection panel
of the subwoofer is a master power switch. This switch is
wired directly to the AC main and turns on/off all power
going to the subwoofer. The Grotto i also integrates a sig-
nal sensing power supply that will go to Standby mode."

Now I feel like a real dummy. I cannot locate the master
power switch. Neither on my unit, nor in the manual. There
is no switch depicted in the manual rendering.

I may just be reading it wrong. I feel real stupid.

There is a tree way toggle switch on it with setting standby / on / auto.
I have tried flipping this every which way. I have also discovered I can
push in on it, and that does not do anything either.

The light on the unit never comes on.

So from that it would make sense that there is a different power switch
somewhere. But where????

If not I guess the fuse might be blown or it being a faulty unit.

Does anyone have Grotto i and can explain how to turn it on?

I bought it used and due to personal reasons had to wait quite a while
before i could play with it, and I did not have a chance to audition
it prior to buying it. But the guy I bought it from has always
sold me great stuff.

Hi Frank,

I have a Depth, that has the same standby/on/auto switch. When set in the middle position, it will always be on. In the top position, it will only be on when there is a singnal coming from your pre amp.
If you don't have a light, that could mean your cable is faulty, or the fuse is broken. Or maybe just the LED is broken... Can you hear anything from it when the switch is in the middle position and the volume is set at a high level?
