Any issues using a Briggs and stratton 18kw home generator to power my Montis speakers. Bryston says no problem for their amp.

None that I can think of. The ESL HV bias is not sensitive to sine wave stability and the amps are class D, so I'd guess not very. But not sure about the later.

I have a 15Kw generator, but it does not power the HT. Too big a draw ;-)
 
With long down time music might be nice. In winter with the AC off I have enough power to run stereo and the freezers, gas furnace etc.

The area has now had some serious power failures recently.

Sure but with climate change and little infrastructure investment the electric power future does not look great.
