clear spars means ? Plus where did the SL3 fall in line ?

I am guessing that the reason the spars are asked about is to determine if it is a newer panel or not ?
out of curiosity, when did they start going with the clear spars ?

2nd - I am just curious where the SL3 fell in line. I have tried looking up MartinLogan history, but I did not find a specific speaker line showing what was available, years etc.....
Just curious. I am guessing that the SL3 was maybe either the 2nd or 3rd least expensive speaker, meaning they were fairly low on the totem pole ?
I still really like them even if they were the cheapest ones made those years but would like an idea so if later on I decide to upgrade to a "bigger" ML.
