I went on vacation. Came back and the center tweeter was crackling. I believe my house mates were blasting music and blew up my tweeter.

Is this the likely cause if the crackling is only coming from the tweeter?

What are my options if I bought the speaker used? Can I simply order a replacement tweeter and repair it myself?

Are you postive it's the tweeter and not the panel? The panels with crackle and pop from time to time.

Ya I'm positive because if I disconnect the power from the panel sound stops but music is still played from the tweeter and it crackles non stop; especially at higher volumes when vocals (what usually comes from tweeter) are played.

Sounds like you need to beat some housemates....

And a new tweeter. You can always replace aftermarket. You just need the specs of the orginal. I don't think they used anything special for this.
