I won a 45 rpm single on eBay and just realized that the picture showed no centre for the spindle, just a large hole. Forty years ago it would have been no problem, but it is now as it is my first single. Where can I get a centre, or what can I use/make to do the same thing?

I think several online record vendors sell such things. You can get either the cheap clip-in variety, or something more substantial, usually made of metal. I think Clearaudio makes one of tha latter.

I wonder if my VPI record clamp is good enough to hold it in place after I centre it by eye.
