Bought a Mcintosh for my ESLs

So, I bought a Mcintosh MC7100 as an upgrade from my Rotel RB 971 to pair with my ESLs. I did not have the chance to listen to the amp first. I know it's a long shot, but has anybody paired this amp with MLs before? Other gear is Rotel RCD 971 CD player and RC 980 preamp. Thanks in advance for any thoughts / insights.

I am not using McIntosh MC7100 but using McIntosh MC302 and very happy with the sound. Try the different output taps, I am using the 8 ohm tap on my MC302. Hope you enjoying system.
