Back in the Fold

I just bought some used Vantages last night from a very accomodating gentleman.
Could only get one at a time home so it will be tonight I actually fire them up.
This is my third pair of MLs after a brief time with some AP Scorpios.
They were excellent speakers but I crave the electostatic sound again.
I have never really been away since I look at the forum regularly.

I am happy at this point, hope it lasts a while.

Congrats apman'May I ask how you like the Oppo 95'I just got new Vistas and a new Integrated.I am using a almost 10 year old Denon 1600 dvd-cd -audio player.It sounds good but here all the great reviews of the oppo being the best CD player under $6k.Any thoughts.Thanks Bob

Yes, I've been looking at the Oppo myself. I like the sacd features.

I like the OPPO very well.
I don't use it to it's full potential though.
I replaced an older Pioneer Elite player and it kicks it's butt.
I added a Channel Islands DAC to use with the Pioneer and it was a major improvement.
When I got the OPPO I sold the DAC and use the OPPO for Red Book and SACDs with great success.
I would recommend it.
