The site seems to be moderated by many of the members who were banned from this site.

I am not sure if this is due to the summer season or because the site is new, but it does not seem to have a lot of action.

Yes, got an invite some time ago to join, but here is the problem. It is supposedly a What's Best Forum, but not for just Martin Logan or even Audio or Video, but everything in the world is supposedly covered.

So here is the rub, I don't know about you, but I belong to 2 other well established A/V forums and two separate well established car forums, then I belong to 3 different British Bike forums all of which contain unique members with experiences that I can not enjoy my hobbies without tapping in to their experience from time to time.

Then there are all the What'sTheBestPornForums......not a member just a lurker, but there are so many of them:D

And to top it off, at least during the warmer months I try to play golf 2 or more times a week, not to mention try to find time to enjoy my other hobbies/addictions. Oh and their is still work to contend with, but hopefully not for much longer.:D

So number one, I just don't have time for yet another forum that frankly has a goal of duplicating forums that I am already participating in via my membership in all the above forums.

And there is no way I could get the same level of information that I get from my existing forums in a new lightly attended forum like the What's Best Forum, so I still have to belong to the other forums....so what' the point.

But hey, that's just me, as it is I am not participating as much in all these other forums simply because there is not enough time in the day.....except when I have to respond to Justin or Bernard.......then I have no choice but to forego sleep and defend my reputation......oh wait that was a different forum.....never mind.:D

Can I have your job when you go? I'm sure I'd be good at it - really! Listening to CLXs + Gothams all day seems to be well paid:D

Yup - I have been invited to join a few times. But I am a member to 3 audio forums and that is enough. And I agree they do seem to be trying to cover too many areas.

I'm a member there along with 18 other audio/video forums. IMHO there are trying to capture to broad a range of topics. Where else are you going to see a thread on your coffee maker along side a thread for a $100,000 Continuum Audio Labs Caliburn and Rockport Sirius III.

Unfortunately, except for a couple of pretty wealthy guys that actually have access to any of this stuff, the rest of them don't really have any kind of seat time with "the best" of anything....

At least if you go to something like a Ferrari owners forum, you're bumping into people that own and use the hardware in question.

This type of forum was typical back in the day of dial-up "bulletin boards".

A the days of Z-modem CRC. LOL good times.

Wow, and i only belong to this one. I need to get an on-line life.;)

There are about 15 current and ex-MLO members on WBF, and I moderate the Spectral forum - it appears this is the only one in the world, which is kinda sad, but I am glad there is finally one. The site is new and so far with rather interesting discussions.

It's pretty nice site and we have been having some good discussions directly with Roger over there.

Cheers,
Angela

I'm also a member. It was started due to the "falling out" amongst members on another site when the owner of the other site accused another member who was a moderator of something he wasn't really guilty of doing regarding pushing product as a dealer.
