I have an opportunity to possibly get one of these systems, for similar prices, within driving range. In the grand scheme of things, the Clarity is in better condition, but I wondered if I'd lose anything (especially depth of the bass) between that and the Aeon. The Source I found is a little more expensive, but don't know if it is a big jump over the Clarity, as both I believe were considered entry-level systems back in their day.
Has anyone heard these to give any impressions pro/con between them? I realize newer is sometimes better. And I'm not sure where the Aeon sat in the ML line originally. (I can get all specs from the product museum at ML.)
For the record, I have a stalled Sequel II refurbishment/upgrade project that I haven't yet decided if I am going to complete, or scrap (by selling off what I have). I like the sound of the one unit I've heard working, but they need a lot more work.
