Like I said before, the speaker only costs $18k because its an anniversary limited edition. If it werent, I would place it between the 805 and 803D somewhere as far as price goes....if it was in the same finish and everything. THats a wide price range ($2k-$8k), but just a guess....
And the crossover in all the new 800 series, as I understand it was modified from previous models to use less parts and make it more transparent....I believe they are using first order designs on both drivers.....but dont quote me.
The addition of the diamond tweeter made the B&W line more to my liking, but I still dont think I could live with them....at least for a music only system. They do AWESOME in a theater environment!
I still like the looks of the thing...I will try and talk the owner into ordering a set for the store...but I wont hold my breath.
