Unpacked a pair of Stylos after 10 years - strange issue with the ESL panel.

Sounds like the power supply to me. So you're saying that you're running 120V 50 Hz to them as opposed to 120V 60 Hz? If I read that right I'd say it could be the culprit.

HELP!!! Summits not playing... I don't want expensive paperweights!

Well, I received the power supplies on Monday. Finally got around last night to tearing into both speakers and replacing the power power supplies. Sure enough, after getting everything reassembled and powering up the stereo, everything is working again! Summits are playing beautifully, lights...

HELP!!! Summits not playing... I don't want expensive paperweights!

Well guys, as a small update: Called this morning to order replacement power supplies for both speakers. Was prepared to shell out about $75 per as quoted by Dana, but I couldn't get ahold of him. Instead, talked to Melodie about my issues and provided her my serial numbers. To my very...

HELP!!! Summits not playing... I don't want expensive paperweights!

Gordon, Thanks for the reply. I thought the same thing initially. The speakers are each on their own outlet. I actually brought in a really long extension cord from the garage and plugged the speakers (and even the equipment in the end) into a different circuit. I checked all breakers and...

HELP!!! Summits not playing... I don't want expensive paperweights!

Guys, How likely is it that both power supplies would poop out at the same time while the speakers were unplugged? Just curious...

HELP!!! Summits not playing... I don't want expensive paperweights!

Well Hocky, you were right. Pleasantly surprised with the price. I talked to Dana and he says he's about 85% sure it's the power supplies. I'll order a pair from him in a couple of weeks and install. Really hoping that's the issue. If not, I'll be sending the back plates in to have them...

HELP!!! Summits not playing... I don't want expensive paperweights!

Definitely on my list of things to do today. Was just really hoping someone would have an "easy fix" for my problem. I don't even want to imagine how much new boards for the speakers are going to cost.

HELP!!! Summits not playing... I don't want expensive paperweights!

Alright. Well I just hooked them back up after an hour of down-time. ESL panels still aren't working. I got very close and listened and you can very, very faintly hear the mids/highs in the panels... but they're definitely not playing like they should. In addition, the left speaker seems to...

HELP!!! Summits not playing... I don't want expensive paperweights!

Hi guys and gals, Roughly two months and some change ago I auditioned my humble stereo setup - Rogue 99 Magnum Pre, Music Fidelity A3.5 Transport, Monarchy SE-160 Mono Blocks, Summit Mains, Analysis Plus Wiring - for a few friends. Everything played beautifully, and thereafter I unplugged...

Well guys and gals, I've been slacking a lot with this bike in the last couple months. I got my new Daytona 675 to replace the one I wrecked, and shifted a lot of effort into getting that one up to spec. The really sad part is that the only major purchase left to be made for this bike is the...

You can see the magnet for the pickup mounted in the brake disc. Wiring harness installed, carbs installed, airbox put in, everything plumbed. I tried out the wiring to make sure everything worked. The wiring that D'Ecosse gave me for the fuel gauge works great, but the 10 ohm and 100 ohm...

Here's the new fuel gauge circuit. Several resistors are included in that wiring bundle. I left the ends exposed and with actual sockets in case I need to swap the 10 and 100 ohm connections on the relay. And here's the pile of crap I was left with afterward. Okay, on to the wiring I...
