Sorry, I've only just seen your question..
I have a stone company that CNC it for me, attachment was with some 3m solvent based adhesive, via a mastik gun. Still sounding fabulous and just enjoy them now..
Just seen this thread and read it with interest; some here will know of my exploits with ML's, my current Spire's in particular, which I am still very fond of, to the point that I am often left underwhelmed when hearing many other speakers at shows etc, and don't often expect to be bowled over...
In fact Marc no longer has Scarlatti, he has now the Vivaldi 4 box, all with his arc amps and clx/ decent's. It is one of the very best systems I've heard, truly sublime!
Agreed, it would be yet another out of reach product for most of us otherwise. If it were a hybrid of CLX/prodigy status and priced at £20k I'd be very interested..
Jon, perhaps ML read the WBF thread on potential CLX developments as the previews point to our suggestions quite strongly?

Hi, Sorry but I'm not certain myself (maybe 6) but if you look on diyaudio, section on stats and planers etc, I'm sure it has been asked there, failing that ML service may help? Good luck, are you re building?
Welcome to MLO Rimshot, congrats on the CLX upgrade from the Spires, do you use them sans subs? CLX will make the short list someday when I decide my Spires (non standard!) can be changed, but in all honesty that may be a while.. What is your system made up from btw?
Now this I would want to see, from the capabilities of the current CLX when well matched and installed this could be the ultimate, especially if ML can add a bit more flesh to to body of notes which is IMO only where they lose out ever so slightly..
No, to reduce energy travelling directly through the floor to neighbours you must decouple the loudspeaker totally, Max Townshend's bases do this, unlike any other. I have not used them under my Spires yet, but colleagues do use them to good effect. Granite slab is a side step in this regard..
System grounding is vital to good sonics, however it is often overlooked. Stillpoints work well, Marck uses both Entreq and Stillpoints, reporting favourable results..
Can't comment on the vertex panels though, get the fundamentals right first, then maybe experiment?
Sorry to hear about this issue, it is the first time I have heard of such a thing. The Spire crossover does indeed have a temperature sensor, but why it has not reset after leaving unplugged overnight leaves me unsure as to what is going on inside. I guess a call to ML is needed..
Bonzo, be careful with this.
It is a big problem for many people, myself included. I worked on a design of an isolation plinth, which works well, there is good separation of the bass cabinet and the floor. Another option, one that I did consider and respect, is Max Townshend's speaker bases...
Hi Bonzo,
I know MarcK uses Transparent, I use my own mentioned earlier, but I have also had good results with Harmonic Tech Fantasy, depending on what length you are after I have some you can also try out.. Which Krell amp do you use?
KR,
Paul.
I was fortunate enough to be given the values by ML, it's worth asking service dept for the schematic, fingers crossed. Otherwise, de-solder originals and measure with an lcr meter if you have access to one?
It's very useful! Try contacting Dana, he may be able to help, but as CLX is still current they may not release a schematic. Best wishes with your project!
