    System #329 (Odyssey, Depth)

Very nice set-up,Greg! I like the streamlined look, minus the clutter some rooms seem to suffer from. Incidentally,is that cd storage rack custom-made?(In other words...where can I buy one!)

    What's up with the(relative) low-cost of SL3's?

I was 'nudged' into starting this thread because of two distinct things..1) My own pair of SL 3's just had a panel go out a few days ago-snap,crackle,pop-"bye-bye!" If I wanted to get a replacement panel,$600 plus...:o The amazing thing is that while going over the gon's prices-as well as other...

    SL3 makeover

Holy-! All of that work from someone who had a concern that you're LESS talented than others on the board? I doubt it-but if so,I don't think anyone could do "more with less",as they say..congratualations! Incidentally, your clear labor of love inspired me to suggest another thread on this...

    CD Sales

"browsing on line" is going to fill that void(and then some)-that's my guess. I used to swing by Tower all the time to score imports, new releases, etc. I now find that with the web(Amazon,Ebay, etc) especially with the huge number of sellers based in Japan or Europe-well,I'm buying more and...

    Aerius i - newbie query

If there's no way you can move your seating area closer to the rear walls, you'd probably be better off with stand-mounted monitors. Any speaker-ML or otherwise-that has to be listened to while pressed against chairs as those in the picture are- will be seriously compromised. Maybe a setup that...

    CLS stands

Very nice,Brad! I once had the CLS-1's on Arcici stands(I think)-the ones that required you to screw a bracket into the frame to keep them stable. They neither looked as good, nor were they as economical(cheap) as your set-up. Hmm..any thoughts of having something available for other, less handy...

Artist:Fred Hersch Title:Evanessence:A Tribute To Bill Evans Year Of Release:1990 Label:Jazz City/Pony(Japan) Genre:Jazz There are 'tribute' releases that feel like more of a tax write-off than anything else, usually all-star gatherings that have well-known artists performing by...

Bill Evans on NPR "JAZZ PROFILES'

One of the many outstanding music programs on National Public Radio is the JAZZ PROFILES series hosted by singer Nancy Wilson. Although I don't believe the show is currently in production, the episodes recorded over the years are generally available to hear on-line(and download for free) at...

    Greetings and "zzz"..

Thanks for the warm welcome, folks. Richard,I didn't mean to isuggest that the SL3's are new to me. I've owned them for three years-but given some new room configurations which allowed me to move a cd rack to a less visble spot(the hall),it SOUNDS like a new system. I'm now smack in the middle of...

Well,it looks like I'm about to start another one of those epic all-nighters ,as in "You might as well stay up and attend to it while it's on your mind, because once you hit the sack-fuggitt abboud it!" "Attend to" means clean house, pay bills(lots of those),close deals on Audiogon, package some...
