I saw the film last night and I rate it up there with Batman Begins (which I rate very highly). Well shot, lots of cool toys and they explain the technology in such a way that you don't have to suspend disbelief as much as you would think you would have to.

I currently have an HD DVD player and am waiting for the new Panasonic BD50 to come out or the new Pioneer. There's dozens and dozens of discs of great content out there right now.

The picture on many films is much better. In fact, it is to the point where my fiance (who is not into this stuff) complains every time we watch a standard definition DVD. And that's not telling her that I'm not putting a HD DVD in she just notices the difference in picture quality often...

Chalk up another happy Universal MX-850 owner here with RF-350 box and all. I am considering "upgrading" to the newer MX-810 though as it has the ability to take in hex codes and some other trick new features. The Harmony's are nice but they are just so...limited.

I second you on that. The Pioneer and Panny plasmas (especially the Elites!) are absolutely stellar in comparison to even the best LCDs (and that includes the new top notch 81 series Samsungs). I sell the TVs as well and watching them everyday makes me wonder why anyone would ever consider...

Nice to see some other young guys in here. I'm 24 myself. I bought my first pair of ML's this year (Vista's) and they're going into a new house soon. It's funny that when shopping for a home you start taking room acoustics into consideration. Never would I have thought...haha.
