I saw the film last night and I rate it up there with Batman Begins (which I rate very highly). Well shot, lots of cool toys and they explain the technology in such a way that you don't have to suspend disbelief as much as you would think you would have to.

I currently have an HD DVD player and am waiting for the new Panasonic BD50 to come out or the new Pioneer. There's dozens and dozens of discs of great content out there right now.

The picture on many films is much better. In fact, it is to the point where my fiance (who is not into this stuff) complains every time we watch a standard definition DVD. And that's not telling her that I'm not putting a HD DVD in she just notices the difference in picture quality often...
