how to power ESL, Motif, Motion4, dynamo1k for 5.1

Roleplay, this quote is exactly what I'm talking about. Plus, you mentioned you watch movies 50% of the time so I'm guessing my suggestion would work better for you

how to power ESL, Motif, Motion4, dynamo1k for 5.1

I had the NAD Master series Trio ($14,000), Spires, more amps etc. Friends cheap Onkyo with XT32/Klipch blew it away The biggest difference I made is when I purchased a cheap 50 watt Denon with Atmos/XT32. That combo destroyed my separates and made watching movies more immersive. In fact, I...

New Motion AFX, Atmos-enabled speaker modules

Way to ugly up your home and create more of a wire mess with these boxes placed everywhere. Would've been nice to see these integrated into their existing motion line for a cleaner look that better fits their aesthetic style

    Home theater planning advice

If you stand up with your EFX, you will lose detail because the panel isn't that long but if you're standing up you probably don't care anyways as you are busy doing something else. Just be mindfull how high the second row is. I would go with x8 Vanquish (4 hight + 2 front and rear) for a Dolby...

Should I be concerned about Timbre Matching my Center channel

I can sell you my pair of EFX when I get back to Cali on the 10th of November. I do not have the original boxes but our UPS store packs it themselves and insures. I paired these with a Motif X and the tonal match was fine (I guess) in fact, the folded motion tweeter is supposedly tonally...

Amp for ethos and stage x?

Have you plugged your current amp into a wall outlet with a watt meter or power conditioner that displays the watts at your desired listening level? My average listening levels are under 10 watts per speaker and couldn't max them out with my $300 50wpc slim Marantz. I since sold my high end NAD...

    Power Wire/cords for Montis

Of course a blind test would reveal all these type of comments to be false as they have in the past

NAD M25 will it power ESL Reserve?

This is such an old thread that I've learned a lot since I wrote this. I'm now powering my Martin Logans with integrated AVRs with no problems. The expensive and powerful amp requirement is a common bandwagon fallacy or consensus fallacy. Martin Logan even states you can drive these with 8 Ohm...

Emotiva XPA-1L amp for Motif center?

I used to think I needed separates too. Watch Dr Vojtko on youtube about amps. An 8 Ohm amp will handle a martin logan as long as you're not playing above the amps capability. He says we test all sorts of amps on our speakers and they all just work with no issues...

    Blown EFX speaker

MLO, I'd like some advice on what is wrong with my speaker and if I can buy the part and repair myself. Basically, I moved an amp with the front L and R channels disconnected, some how, they touched I think but not sure exactly what happened. It just made a bad grinding sound out of the...

    BalancedForce Subwoofer Custom Filters!

My setup is EFX front and rear and going 11.1 shortly. I have no other measuring devices except XT32. I'm not interested in using REW, Omnimic, Antimode etc. I'm just curious if the low pass filter settings file can be done via the standard dials on a sub? Otherwise I'll go with the BalanceForce...

    BalancedForce Subwoofer Custom Filters!

I have ML EFX. How hard would it be to adjust the low frequencies to that of what the filters would do? Could you just use a program to read the filters and configure those settings onto a non ML sub?
