    Fi Primer Mono-Blocks (Aaaaahhhh...)

Just finished the wiring of one and got it hooked up to my Dussun V8i (using as a preamp) and Opera Linear Reference 2.2 CD player....I gotta tell ya, this things sounds better than anything I've heard below $10K,...I kid you not...quiet as hell, and detailed as a mofo...I suspect when I get the...

    New CLS panels...

And the winner is.... mosttoysrk... I just got off the phone with Jim and he confirmed that there are 2 replacement panels for the CLS line. The first is for the CLS I The second is for the CLS II* (*all iterations). Jim stated that the replacement panels are "optimized" for the electronics...

Who has the oldest Martin Logans

Yeah,...:music: My wife loves the look of the sanded oak panels, and she was actually the one that suggested I not "stain" them and lose that natural look...the satin polyurethane will seal and protect the wood,.. but will retain the natural oak wood look...I was surprised at how gorgeous the...

Who has the oldest Martin Logans

I haven't received them yet. I just ordered them yesterday... I'll take some pics of the unpacking process and the panels to share with all interested parties...:music:

    New CLS panels...

Are the current replacement CLS panels "universal" for all CLS versions, or do you get a different panel specific to the type of CLS electronics module you have? I just ordered a new pair (waiting for their arrival) for my CLS I's and am curious....

Who has the oldest Martin Logans

Your speakers are so old,... Jesus was the first owner...(lol). Just a little holiday humor.... I just today ordered a pair of new CLS panels from ML, the originals were circa '85 and still sounded pretty good...but I'm doing up the frames so I figured some new panels were justifed...not sure...

    CLS stands-homemade

Jeff, Did you have your CLS frames refinished, or buff them with something to make them look like that? They look nicer than the stock finish...

    CLS stands-homemade

I have the sound anchors, and they do leave a lot to be desired as far as asthetics go...and they do lift them a bit higher than optimal. I'm inspired by you to build some that allow me to adjust the height as well as lean them back or forward if desired....still working out the design....

    CLS stator removal -THE MOVIE

Sweat... Yeah, I would have never figured that out, I was ready to take the frame apart....(lol). I got the stator's out and am working on the frames...I'm sanding them down, with plans to add about 5 coats of clear laquer so the wood glows gold....I'm so psyched. I'm ordering some new panels...

    CLS stator removal -THE MOVIE

Not sure if this has been seen...I just got this from Mr Powers...for those who find it hard to visualize the written instructions, this can be a life(panel)saver...

    CLS I Tweaks

I replaced the 2 missing caps in the cap ladder (this was a ML tweak to bring down the panel bias voltage) I like the voltage higher...personally I think the extra juice brings out more of the high end and makes the speaker faster transients...see reference to this on the thread "more power =...

    System #224 (CLS)

No, they are Sound Anchor stands...they came with the speakers...though I must admit that they do raise the soundstage...imaging from a standard sitting position seems more natural sounding and even in the midrange than them sitting on the floor...the raised position also helps with the bass...

    System #224 (CLS)

Nope, I set them up and took the pics about 3 days after getting them...I'm sure this is a generic setup with the CLS's...

Have my CLS I electronics modules been tweaked?

Yep,... and sensitivity has a bearing on how... ...loud the panel plays given the same amount of amplifier power. The higher the sensitivty,... the louder it will play being fed the same watt...so given the complexity of electrostat's is there anyway this can somehow translate into the...
