I had Maggie 1.6s and ML sequel IIs in my system for a couple of years switching them out off and on. Actually they sound pretty comparable. The Maggies maybe a little warmer full sounding, great with voices. The Sequels a little more detailed and open. The Maggies do demand a little more power...
I have two Depths which I used when I had my CLSIIzs, they replaced a pair of Velodyne F1200s. Both the Depths and the Velodynes had more than enough power for me and both were plenty quick enough. To tell you truth I didn't hear a whole lot of difference and I play my music fairly loud at...
I own a ARC LS5 mkIII which I believe is what you were referring to. The III has eight 6922s compared to ten in the II, at any rate I like it very much. If you do get one let me know I can let you know what tubes you might want to roll in it.
I had a pair of CLSIIzs that I had hooked up to a ARC...
Yes I do realize the Hi-rez difference which is a big point.
Unfortunately I don't have a itouch phone although it would be interesting to see what the ap is like compared to the Duet controller which I think works nicely.
Well I think I'm going to go with the PS Audio digital link III you can pic one up for a good price. I figure it would be a good place to start if I'm not satisfied I can keep looking.
From what I have read elsewhere the duet controller will work on the touch which if I got one is important...
I just purchased a Squeezebox Duet and am really enjoying the Internet radio and access to my music files on my computer. I have a few questions. First if I were to buy a Squeezebox touch can I use the Duet's remote with it? Would anything prevent both the Duet receiver and Touch being used on...
Thinking about getting into the music server scene. Has anybody tried or have opinions on a Emotiva XDA-1\Squeeze box touch combo? Would there be a huge drop off from CD?
Does anybody have an idea of how many replacement panels they sell in a year? Are they patented could they be produced by someone else? If the numbers are up there you would think someone at $600.00 to $900.00 a pop would want to produce them.
By the way it looks the panels should still be available because like paneled speakers are still being serviced. But I agree with zaphod you would of thuoght they would of put this bulletin out October 1 or so, not three weeks before the end of the year.
All in all I think it weakens the brand...
Here's a question. I have a pair of Gershman X1s set up next to my Sequel IIs I have been switching back and forth, I biwire using two sperate runs would it be possible to wire the highs to the Sequel panels and the lows to the bass connections of the Gershmans without causing a problem?
I have a pair of Sequel IIs with newer panels but original woofers. What led you to change out the woofers and what difference in sound did you notice once replaced?
I ran an ARC D400 with my Sequels which is 200 watts a channel and it did well. You can find these for around $1500.00. I would also think the Classe amps would be do well also and are priced right.
