Following a suggestion in another forum, I placed my components on Ikea bamboo butcher block boards, separated from the original rack shelves by E.V.A. Anti Vibration pads. I then placed double thicknesses of E.V.A. Pads under components AND my SL3 speakers.
The results in enhanced clarity and resolution have been startling. Individual instruments and voices are now much easier to identify. Timbres are more accurate. The overall result is that of a much better perceived S/N ratio.
Given how easy and inexpensive this tweak is, I don't hesitate to recommend it highly.
(I know, this runs contrary to the idea of using spikes under speakers, which I did use for many years. But the results of replacing spikes with E.V.A. Pads speak for themselves).
