My Vista's woofer is blown. Does anyone know where I can buy a new or used one, alternatively a non-original plug and play option?
Feeling blue...

This has been covered in prior threads, so please read up on these:

An old one, but good info:

https://www.martinloganowners.com/t...eplacement-plus-crossover-improvements.15456/

My guestimate would be that this driver should work well enough as a drop-in: Dayton Audio RS225-4 8" Reference Woofer

As usual, my preference is to bypass the passive crossover (XO), get a really good driver, give it its own power amp with a built-in DSP (e.g. Crown XLS1502 ) and do the low-pass XO in the amp.

Thank you for all the references. I've already read a lot of them, I'm primarily looking for a new woofer. I don't want to modify the crossover frequency. I am hoping to find a speaker that I can be put straigt in.

I guess I have to cut the speaker frame of the new woofer (has anyone done this?).

I am using the Vista in a home theater (Atmos) and with a subwoofer (crossover 100 hz).

I have so far found these woofer suggestions:

Dayton Audio RS225-4 8" Reference Woofer
Seas RW 220. RW 220 L0022-04S
Scanspeak Discovery 22W/4534G00
SB Acoustics SB20PFC30-4.

Without any measurements, testings, or advices from ML, I am out in the fog.
