What should I buy?

I am looking to setup a small stereo in my living room. I have a Lexicon CP-1+ that I'm not using right now which I have been told can be used a preamp. I will probally be running a mid grade amp (B&O, Linn, Krell, or Musical Fedility). What Martin Logan should I buy (used or new) under $2000. I don't want speakers that are huge like the Monoliths that are in my Audio Room but I do want a very good looking smaller speaker that has good sound quality and a little bass power wouldn't hurt. So enough said what is the best choice?
