Hi don't know if this was answered before, anyway, I'm thinking to buy a pair of ML Vantage. In the present I have a Graaf GM50B integrated amplifier that I would really like to keep (love the sound of it). It's only 50w, but in reality it seems more powerful than that. I see that this loudspeaker goes as low as 1 ohm at 20 khz. Will that be enough for the electrostatic panels ? I don't listen at loud levels. Mainly jazz and classical music. You can see some details about this amp in http://www.graaf.it/GM50blackeng.HTM

Regards

Thanks for the sugestions, but do you think the power (50 watts) will be enough for the Vantage's ?

Hola...well it depends of how loud you want to listen, but at normal listening level, I would say 90 dbs, your Vantage will sound great with 50 Watt/channel. The high sensitivity of 92 dBs allow us to use a low wattage power amplifiers. Hope this can help, happy listening,

roberto. :D

The Graaf can perform much, MUCH better when you swap the factory valves with something else. In stock form, it is pretty dull...

Hi Bitfive, FWIW, I had tried my 50w (EL-34) Jolida on my Vantage's and it performed A OK to a point, It could not compare with my present Plinius on the top end, where it seemed "rolled-off". Based on what you listen to and at the levels you suggested I think you will be Ok.

Can you specify in more detail ? The stock valves are from Sovtek. Types are 6922, 6h30 and KT88.

Yes, the Jolida's definitely need some parts rolling to come into their own.
