These three burned CD's are great fun during my 45 minute commute to work every morning also on the 45 minute return trip each eveing as well.

:D I am interested in what "Theme CD's" have you made?

You missed "Here Comes the Rain Again" by the Eurythmics. It would go well be or after "Don't Fear The Reaper."

Robin, iPod owners do that all the time. It's just that they call it "playlists"

Exactly, and if you bought yourself one of the iPod Nano's you could do away with carrying CD's & plug it into your car's stereo and play it over an FM station.

Speaking of Ipods and having never tried it, I have to ask...how do they sound through a high-end audio system?

I would shop around before getting an iPod. Cnet.com is a good place to do some comparisons.

Supposedly Creative MP3 players sound better according to some reviews but I really never tried one.

It is all personal but IMHO, Wife has a ipod I have a Creative and through good headsets(not stock) the creative sounds better although nothing looks as good as the ipods. So sound or style????

I got a good one! Songs about killers! Riders on the Storm, Don't Fear the Reaper, Hey Joe, Killing Me Softly with His Song....

SugarMedia and lugano,

Currently, my son has a special iPod car audio in-dash deck for his iPod. My son used to have the FM tune-in kind, but he says it was too scratchy, so he up-graded... His new direct line iPod deck is much clearer, for his in-car listening, from what he has told me:

My son's iPod hooks directly to the deck in his car using specialized, expensive iPod cable from Apple.

My son loves his iPod and doesn't have anymore CD's in his car. I guess my 'Old School' ways, of using old fashioned CD's to play music in my car are passe... lugano, I think you are right resistance is futile... It's funny, I bought my son his first iPod, which he has since replaced with a much nicer one... ;)

Socialxray,

Great suggestion :D :D

Thank you

Robin,

Listen to Mr and Mrs Smith the movie soundtrack.... mondo bongo and *something* tango are great songs, especially on the Summits. There are plenty of other good songs on that disc... well worth adding to your collection.

Oh... and look at James Blunt for additional song choices - Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover are awesome... especially on the Summits.

;)

You forgot Jesus Built My Hot Rod and Lay Lady Lay by Ministry. :)

Soon I discovered…..that this rock thing was true. Jerry Lee Lewis was the Devil. Jesus was an architect previous to his career as a prophet. All of a sudden I found myself in love with the world….so there was only one thing that I could do was to ding a ding dang my dang a long ling long…..

Jesus built my car….Its a love affair, mainly Jesus and my hot rod.

Sorry, just reverted to my jack-booted mosh’n days…..

Cool...a James McMurtry fan!!!

About 10 years ago watched him play at a small bar called shoobaz in downtown Chicago it's a very small place and there was only about 40 people in the place,we drank half the night away with Jim and the band after the performance and I've been a fan every since.
