I have always been a fan of electrostatics, specially the ML's, since i started my first hi-end system. I 'm delighted with their capacity to play music with a liveliness and a freshness that i never found in other speakers.

Hello,

thank you all for the cogratulations. The setting of this system is not so nice, on my opinion. I'm now setting up a dedicated room for the ML's, with better room treatment (there is almost no treatment in the actual location), and i hope i can move them soon.
I have to add that this system, with the CL's, will become an A/V system. I recently bought a Sony KDL 46W2000 LCD FullHD display, and will build the system around it.
My intention is to build a full ML system. Which models you suggest for the surround speakers?

I'm also looking for a Pre-Phono to pair-up with the ARC REF, so that i could use the VPI in both the systems. Actually i can only use it with the CAT Ultimate, but the Benz has an output level which is a little bit low for the phono section of this preamp.

One question i would like to ask: recently, especially during the days with high humidity, the plastic film sticks to the metal grid on the left side of the left speaker, producing a more or less sensible buzz sound.
I have to remove the power from the speaker and wait a certain time before the film goes back to normal position. Does it mean the film is losing his rigidity and the panel needs to be changed?

Too bad, it would have been good to add you to my list of international members I've met - joing Roberto (Costa Rica) and Lugano (Switzerland). We have a divisional office in Shanghai, so perhaps another day. As Dave mentioned above, I am lately enamored of the CLS and would enjoy hearing yours, looking at your very well set up system and meeting you.

I think most would only leave the CLS for the CLX . It speaks volumes for a 20 year old CLS .
