Super system! I think you should center your TV a little more... a bit to the left would be perfect.

Dont know about you, but to me, I have a hard time sitting straight between the speakers when the TV/Monitor is non-centered... I feel like I lose the stereo image because I try to gauge my seating position relative to the TV.

Otherwise, super system! ;)

Joey, blame it on the window, it has to be clean and a path is necessary!

But don't worry, my room isn't regular and the sweet spot is precisely centered in front of TV, and the sound is awesome.

Regards.

Beautiful Summit System...

Chordeater,

Thank you for posting your fantastic Summit System. :D It looks wonderful. I did notice that you have plants behind each of your Summits... Are they silk or real?

Great Summit system. :D

Robin, the right plant isn't real, there's not enough light in this square, but shhhhh, no one realize it.

Aser, welcome, glad to see another vinyl person in the group. The P-5 is a very nice table. Enjoy !!

Hello,

this is my new listening room, the system is the same, more or less, but the sound is far better!

Aser what a beautiful sytem and room! As far as I remember you are the only person on this forum with an ASR. How 'bout a review?

Wow, what a room. I wish I could hear all these systems that looks so freaking cool! :D

Chordeater, this is so much better. A true listening room. Is it the same house but a different room, or did you move?

Room looks beautifull, but your location for your Rega P-5 is far from ideal.

Hello,

jtwrace, the "rear spikes" are simply a couple of rubber cubes usually used to prevent wall impacts when opens the door. With this solution I incline the Summit toward the listener ( this is me :D ) so the focus and the detail are increased notably, in my opinion.

Pcar928fan, I didn't own a Pre, the Emitter is an integrated amplifier, take a nearer look:

There's a black box I brought on IKEA to hide the cables behind and to keep some discs.

[email protected], recently I moved to another house, a very much pretty one and with a larger listening room. All the house is soundproof, so the background noise is small, I can listen perfectly at 1 position of the volume level (up to 72).

twich54, I know your comment about the position of the p5 is true, but I hardly listen to it, now I'm a CD man. I only use it to record in a CD-R some 45s or some of the Mosaic Boxsets edited only in vinyl ... the other sources are a multiformat player, a modified for NON Oversamplig player, and a NOS tubes output player.

tonyc, my english isn't good enough to do a review. Anyway, I don't think there are big differences between solid state amplifiers, I simply looked for the most powerful amplifier I could afforded (I'm taking about watts, damping factor, current delivery, etc). The feel with the ASR Emitter II and the Summits is a total sensation of effortlessly sound at any volume level.

Thanks all for your comments.

Aser, I understand, and BTW your English is fine, thus a review would be welcome !

It says that is the solid state amplifier with the most tube like sound. Well, I think is simply because it has a so greater control than others that the sound is very easy and no fatigue at all. I don't believe in anything more (class A, MOSFETS, bla bla bla ... the loudspeakers are the unique component that really sounds, so the one and only thing for an amplifier is CONTROL), so my only review would be the Emitter II specs:

• 250w/8Ω, 450w/4Ω, 800w/2Ω, 1100w/1Ω
• large 100 amperes binding post for cable-shoes and 4 mm banana-plugs.
• 2 external power supplies with 3 PM transformers and energy-management, separate rectification for each of the 8 voltages with 2x 32 Schottky rectifiers.
• Military ceramic input IC AD 843 SQ, buffering capacitors with total 586.000 uF.
• Frequency range from 1 to 100.000 Hz with +/-1dB, 20-20.000 HZ +/- 0.2 dB
• Signal to noise ratio at the line input: > 86 dB • Rise time: <0,8 μs
• Distortions: maximal 0,01 % • damping factor: greater than 1000

Regards.

Aser.

The ASR Emitter II is one of the worlds best integrated amplifiers, should I name one competitor it might be the Gryphon Diablo which is just a little bit more expensive.
http://www.audiosalon.co.uk/gryphondiablo.html but it has 1/10 the capacitor bank compared to ASR.
The ASR would be a dream come true for most audiophiles......unfortunately its out of my reach, and I wouldnt have space for it in my cabinet anyway.
I love your room, its so beautiful.

PS. Ever thought about a separate DAC for your digital sources ?

Nielsen, I don't believe in audible differences between DACs (neither digtal sources without modifications). This is not my opinion, I think it's a fact totally demonstrated. If you are interested in have a look:

Some years ago, before I sold it, I owned a Linn Unidisk 1.1 ...

But I don't want to bring about controversy, so please, think what you want, I am persuaded since years, and I am not trying to persuade anyone.

Thank you for your comments.
Best regards.

The opposite is proven even more, but thats another story.
However, when talking high-end equipment I would probably say you are right, some equipment just match each other better, and its about finding the sound you like.
Interesting links.....
