My husband is the second owner of ML Sequel II speakers. One speaker won't play and may have water damage from a busted pipe; the fuse was checked and is ok. The other speaker has very low sound and I don't believe it got wet. Can the speakers be repaired? How do I go about it? If I wanted to replace them, what is the comparable ML speaker today to Sequel II speakers circa 1990? I want to know what value to set for them.

Those speakers from 1990 are so old that if you can afford to replace them that would be a great fix. I'm guessing the 9 or 11 would be equivalent in today's speakers.

I have Sequell IIb (1993), and even though I'm into DIY, I'm seriously re-considering messing with them and just getting something newer as my rears.
New panels alone are $1,800 or something like that. Might as well buy a used Theos or Summit.
You can post an In Search Of post in our sub-forum: Classified Ads

There is a Theos for sale there now.
