Hantaviruses (family Bunyaviridae, genus Hantavirus) are zoonotic viruses of rodents that produce two major clinical syndromes in humans: hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) in Asia and Europe and hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) in the Americas. Since HPS was initially characterized in the United States in 1993 and the associated hantavirus (Sin Nombre virus, or SNV) was identified, an increasing number of human cases and SNV-related viruses have been identified in different countries of North and South America (1). Three HPS-endemic areas have been recognized in Argentina: northern (Salta and Jujuy Provinces), central (Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, and Entre Rios Provinces), and southern (Rio Negro, Neuquén, and Chubut Provinces).

i remember reading article reported from China some months ago which stated outbreak of hantavirus.

Hope does not spread to rest of the world like coronavirus.

Makes sense to block air traffic.

Hope Uncle Sam did not plant virus in China to slowdown Chinese economy and prevent China from overtaking USA.

Seems like so many bad pandemics come from China. Dont forget the Hong Kong Flu.

You are probably right.

Since 1950 there have been 5 different pandemic flu from China.
