From what I've read output transformers-less amps can't drive hard loads like Martin Logans. You need a good transformer to provide the draw, recovery and grunt.


The output impedance is less than 0.2 ohm. That is low enough to easily drive 4 ohm speakers.

So what's the deal with this claim?

Yep, this is the same firm that went under only to resurface as direct Internet sales. Quite the reputation in their day from what I used to read in Stereophile.

I don't think they did anything wrong - sorry if I gave that impression. Lots of companies reorganize for a host of reasons. What ever happened 15 years ago is old news by now anyway. I think someone died, or they went public when the stock market took a crash - something out of their control from what I recall.

Neat looking amps - very shinny. :D
