Opinions on Def Tech subs?

I have a friend that has a bunch of Def Tech in his home theater, although their mid-range stuff, and it sounds pretty good. I note that the Def Tech SuperCube Reference sells for roughly the same as a ML Depth, but goes down to 11hz, has 1800W amp, and continuously variable crossovers and phase adjustment. Only one active 14" driver though.

Anyone had a chance to compare?
