Original Quest owner since 1993, love these speakers! Just replaced the membranes a year ago. Somewhere along the line I lost my high end. It's not my preamp, and MLS said it's probably not my crossovers. Any thoughts on what it could be?

Hi Zoner, welcome to the club!

Your issue sounds like some wiring internally, or a feed to the panel might be weakening. Is the panel still outputting sound, but just weak?

Is the sound level still good, but the high-end gone? That might be more of an XO component issue.
The Quest is old enough that a refresh of the XO would be recommended.

Could it be the amp?
Tube amps have many ways of partially failing, and even solid-state is not immune to wierdness when going out.

JonFo, it was a connection issue! I disconnected the XLR cables and a reconnected them and got my high-end back. I'm going to take your advice and refresh the XO's. Makes sense seeing that I just replaced the stats! THAN K YOU!
