Hi audio enthusiasts! I’ve been a long time admirer of Martin Logan electrostats and finally bought a used pair of ReQuests about 2 years ago. Due to unexpected life changes they sat in the box until a few weeks ago. I noticed one of them sounds great and the other pretty muffled. I emailed ML and they gave a series of things to try, I’ll be swapping the stats between cabinets to see where the issue lies - I’m expecting they will need replacing though .

You can look on the panel and find a serial number on them. The cabinet should have its own number too. There is a thread here with the serial number decoder, I think it's a sticky. You can use the decoder to figure out when the cabinets and panels were made. This way you'll know if and when the panels were last replaced.

I replaced the panels on my Prodigy speakers and am very happy with the results.

There’s quite a few of us here that have replaced our panels and are very happy with the results. I replaced my Odyssey panels and they sound absolutely great!
