My MLs are far away from my main surge suppressor. I was thinking of buying some Panamax Max2 surge suppressors for the outlets where the speakers plug in (http://www.panamax.com/products.cfm?group=2&sec=detail&id=83&ly=v). They are about $30. each, so a relatively cheap solution. They also make a Max2 for a powered sub (but I don't think they are any different except for adding suppression on two RCA inputs/outputs. Anybody have experience with these?

Hola mondoribo...if your zone is very prone to lthunder storms and the voltage drops down or up, them you should...Panamax here in Costa Rica is very used and really works...as you said, a very cheap solution...happy listening,

If it’s just to charge your stat panels I would get a small power conditioner I have attached a link to an ebay bid for a Powervar power conditioner. This power conditioner is good for about 180 watts more then enough to charge the panels. You get power conditioning 24/7 instead of just surge suppression. There is 2 of them on ebay for $9.00

Thanks for the tip. I will check into these and see if I can hide them well enough to ensure WAF. Also, they are charging $20.88 shipping, and I live about 15 miles from these guys. I'll see if they'll let me pick them up before I bid.
