Hi all, hoping that somebody can point me in the right direction.
I have a set of purities which suffer from midrange distortion (mainly vocals) at higher volumes. Considering these are now about 10 years old I was convinced that this issue was as a result of defective electrostatic panels so have purchased some new ones and replaced both. Unfortunately these still suffer from the same distortion issues. It appears to be affecting both panels so I have tried a different amplifier and different interconnects but the distortion is still there.
Bass appears fine and high frequencies are also ok.
I have also tried both active with a pre and passive with a pre-power.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
